I’m Jenny Alton, a corporate veteran of 20+ years in sales, marketing, product, and growth. I’ve built brands, scaled businesses, and spent years traveling the world for work, learning what resonates, what sells, and what people remember. Somewhere along the way, I realized something: hostess gifts are almost always boring. Another bottle. Another candle. Forgotten before you even leave the driveway.
But I grew up around something different. My grandmother baked cakes that meant something. Cakes that stayed with you. So I built something better, not because I had a background in baking or a perfectly mapped-out plan, but because I had a feeling, and I followed it. I didn’t ask. And nobody told me I couldn’t.
The Pound was born from a love of entertaining, gifting, and creating something people actually talk about. Elevated. Intentional. Rooted in tradition, but designed for now. Because life is too short for forgettable cake, or forgettable gifts.
